Automotive Facility Service designs and installs compressed air systems for auto repair shops, collision centers, tire shops and fleet garages across Long Island, New York City and Westchester. We supply the air compressor, run aluminum air lines to every bay and the paint booth, and hand you a system that works the day we leave. One company does the whole job, from start to finish.
Why aluminum air lines
- Light, rigid aluminum pipe does not rust inside like black iron, so you get cleaner, drier air at the tool and the booth
- Smooth bore with less pressure drop, so air tools and impact guns get full pressure at the far bays
- Modular fittings make it easy to add a drop or extend the line when you add a bay
- A clean, professional look on the shop wall
What we install
- Air compressors sized to the number of bays, tools and paint guns you run
- Main loop and drops to each bay, with ball valves, filters, regulators and quick couplers
- Dryers, filtration and drains for clean, dry air, which matters most for paint work
- Air feed to spray booths, tire changers, lifts with air locks and other equipment
Air compressors
We sell and install shop air compressors, so you deal with one company for the machine and the piping. We size the compressor to how your shop actually uses air, set it on the right pad or mounts, and coordinate the electrical work.
Equipment we work with
We install and service equipment from BendPak, Coats, AccuDraft, Amgo, Tuxedo, OMER and other manufacturers, and AFS sells much of it from our Bohemia, NY warehouse.
Areas we serve
Suffolk, Nassau, Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island and Westchester. See all service areas.
Frequently asked questions
What size air compressor does an auto repair shop need?
It depends on how many people use air at the same time and which tools they run. Impact guns, air ratchets, blow guns, tire equipment and paint guns all draw different amounts. We count your bays and tools and size the compressor and tank so pressure holds up at peak use.
Why use aluminum air lines instead of black iron?
Aluminum does not rust on the inside, so it does not send scale and moisture to your tools and paint guns. It also has lower pressure drop and is faster to install and change later.
Do you sell the air compressor too?
Yes. AFS sells and installs shop air compressors, along with the dryers, filters and piping, so one company is responsible for the whole system.
Can you add air drops to an existing system?
Yes. We can extend or rework an existing system, add drops for new bays, or replace old rusted iron pipe with aluminum.
Do you install air systems in New York City?
Yes. We work in all five boroughs, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester.
